The Customer Acount Manager will be responsible for providing leadership within the organization by applying a thorough understanding of the product, customer/supplier insight, accounting system, industry trends and operational best practices. The Account Administrator will lead and manage a team to ensure customer needs are met, continuation of business partnerships through customer service, and support the needs of the commercial team with cross-team support of the accounting and shipping/receiving departments. Support company goals while ensuring accuracy of data within the accounting system and account data base. This role is located in Granite City and will be fully on-site. While this role is local, occasional travel to other locations will be required (15-25% travel).
Pay Range - $83,313 - $132,469 with bonus potential

Responsibilities
Customer Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to employees to enhance performance. Set clear goals, promote accountability, and exemplify strong performance to support the site goals.
- Maintenance of the Metal position trading domestic and international. Review market fluctuations for pricing and determine best date to sell for maximum gross margin.
- Check each purchase (fixations on metals) – review to ensure pricing is fixed price. Pricing fixations per supplier request.
- Review sales contracts (fixations on metals) provide pricing information fixations per supplier request.
- Report findings to Tobe and upload to database.
- Control of the accounts payable for several buyers. Check invoices, prices, fixations, and approve & submit payment.
- Support to suppliers: Provide customer support to suppliers. Answer questions from suppliers on sales contracts, pricing, claims, fixations, etc. Provide certification of required destruction of materials.
- Management international suppliers: Customer worldwide support per cultural traditions of supplier country.
- Purchase material abroad: Work with suppliers as contact, provide customer service, training, and support necessary to purchase material. Provide follow up and follow shipment of material through to delivery.
- Accounting management of tolling accounts: Review materials that require tolling process, control inventory of shipments/receipts, and payments.
- Customer support –
- Send final invoice, confirmation of receipt, fix prices, if necessary, fix issues/concerns, and process claims.
- Communicates with customers in a professional, patient, and courteous manner to resolve issues.
- Support to the Commercial Department.
- Contact not clear – review for missing data, fixations, clear up concerns, provide pricing information.
- Provide training on fixations to internal commercial department team members.
- Trading- domestic and international.
- Provide shipping for export/import to shipping/receiving team.
- Manage all trades, price (fixed, etc.) for all shipments that do not transfer in/out of Granite City, IL location.
- Update information in the database and spreadsheets.
- Tolling providers – provide accurate data on amount of product that is out for tolling processing. Track shipment back to Granite City, IL location of product returning from tolling process. Transfer material within inventory system to have accurate quantity on hand.
- Confirm accuracy of weight tickets from external suppliers.
- Responsible for guiding and training others. Provide training for systems, processes of commercial team, and daily support for team members.
- 5 years of progressive experience in compliance and commercial trading preferably in metals recycling industry. Experienced in managing 25 accounts in a commercial trading position with cost and price analysis expertise.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in customer service is preferred.
- 2 years progressive experience in international shipping and procurement. 5 years’ experience in accounting skills is preferred.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex customs and export control laws & regulations with a strong focus on US/Asia/national requirements.
- Experience in leading and managing projects, meet deadlines and deliver.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to communicate complex tasks. Bilingual (Spanish) skills are highly preferred to enhance communication with diverse teams and customers.
- Ability to effectively work cross-functionally, independently, and with strong collaboration skills.
- Detail oriented
- Ability to manage ambiguity across multiple priorities and to know when to escalate issues for final resolution.
- Ability to provide training support for programs/processes for team members.
- Ability to handle simultaneous requests. Handles multiple assignments and project load.
- Experience working with high-touch customers is a plus.
- Ability to balance work demands with customer priorities in an international market.
- Up to 20% travel, including international.
