Wieland is hiring a Maintenance Lead . The purpose of the Maintenance Lead role is to lead a safe, efficient, and proactive maintenance operation by setting the standard through example, effective communication, and sound decision-making. This role ensures all maintenance activities are well-planned and executed in alignment with the schedule while fostering a respectful and supportive environment for the team . This role is located in Shelbyville, KY and will be fully on-site.

Schedule: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday (weekends and holidays as needed)

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Responsibilities

Maintenance Lead Responsibilities:

• Leads good safety practices, e nsuring all safety procedures are followed, and metrics met.
• Manages and coordinates activities of the maintenance team.
• Monitor departmental operations through production reports, staff meetings, observation, and personal contact to ensure coordination and integration of workflow, timely production, schedules, utilization of personnel, equipment, and facilities.
• Coordinate the flow of maintenance activities between work shifts.
• Direct and coordinate projects and project development.
• Trains new employees in department.
• Work with other departments to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Investigates, trouble-shoots, and provides solutions to production problems.
• Coordinates with planning and schedules work for department.
• Assists management with investigations and resolutions of equipment related issues to reduce overall downtime.
• Work with operations management team to train operators in their role in preventative maintenance.
• Lead development of maintenance team.
• Make sure all paperwork is done and submitted daily.
• Fill out PO requisitions for ordering needed items.
• Holds toolbox meeting for crew.
• On call rotation.
• Allocate workload.
  
  

Maintenance Lead Qualifications

• 5-10 years experience in relevant field
• Experience in shredding, melting and casting operations
• Experience of CMMS
• Familiarity of Microsoft suite
