The Supply Chain and Customer Service Specialist will be responsible for providing superior service to suppliers and customers through; effective and proactive communication, accurate execution of the purchasing and customer order process, and professional administrative support for the timely and accurate processing of all metal purchasing, metal receiving, production, sales, and invoicing transactions. The role will be responsible for reporting to all departments and will facilitate SAP/WFS improvements and training throughout the organization . This role is located in Shelbyville, KY and will be fully on-site

Wieland is hiring a Supply Chain and Customer Service Specialist . The Supply Chain and Customer Service Specialist will be responsible for providing superior service to suppliers and customers through; effective and proactive communication, accurate execution of the purchasing and customer order process, and professional administrative support for the timely and accurate processing of all metal purchasing, metal receiving, production, sales, and invoicing transactions. The role will be responsible for reporting to all departments and will facilitate SAP/WFS improvements and training throughout the organization . Responsibilities
Supply Chain and Customer Service Specialist Responsibilities:
- This role will be the business process expert for purchase order, sales order, receiving, customer fulfillment, and invoicing for the site.
- Directly service customer and supplier accounts, focusing on customer and supplier needs, transactional accuracy, proactive communication, and contractual business relationships. All efforts intended to provide highest level of service to customer, while respecting and working within the guidelines of the business (i.e. lead times, capacity, etc.).
- Ensure accurate receipt of all raw materials, including weights, and development of settlement statements (invoices) for all received material working directly with plant personnel.
- Work with operations team to ensure accurate reporting of production, yield, other operating data/metrics.
- Work collaboratively with the supply chain, quality, logistics, sales and marketing, and finance teams to support the entire order to cash process.
- Implement a continuous improvement philosophy to identify and correct process and execution deficiencies.
- Develop processes, reporting, and training plans for department.
- The role will support, backup and help develop other areas of the business.
- Support receiving and scheduling processes for mills/foundries.
- S. degree preferred, or three to five years of experience in administrative, accounting or clerical roles for manufacturing company.
- Analytical and detailed oriented with a strong capacity to independently execute tasks and resolve
- Strong business
- Excellent computer system skills, including using comprehensive ERP (such as SAP).
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and organizational
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment and to work across functions within and outside the
- Proficiency working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP), preferred.
