Wieland is hiring a Customer Account Specialist. The Customer Account Specialist administers excellence in service and support to Wieland Chase brass customers, assisting and collaborating with Regional Sales Managers (RSM) to address customer needs to exceed their expectations, and assure their overall satisfaction in a professional, expeditious, and friendly manner. Additionally, the person will address various aspects of oversight and support with Wieland Chase E-Commerce, Forgeworks, EZ Melt, and Water Armor Products and a liaison to the Wieland Chase Marketing department. This role is located in Montpelier, OH and will be fully on-site.
Responsibilities
Customer Account Specialist Responsibilities:
- Promptly responds to customers’ requests related to current lead-time, established pricing, and other service functions through direct phone exchange, e-mail, fax, and other electronic functions.
- Maintains & updates customer database.
- Effectively follows established departmental delivery and service guidelines and expectations.
- Process and reply to customer quote/new item request within Wieland Chase set parameters.
- Process complaints and initiates credits.
- Approves, schedules and process customer scrap metal returns.
- Attends to assigned duties of E-Commerce, Forgeworks, EZ Melt, and Water Armor Products.
- Works as a liaison to support tasks and projects set forth by the Wieland Chase Marketing department.
- All other duties assigned.
Customer Account Specialist Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree in business or related field preferred; or 2-5 years customer service; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in SAP systems preferred but not required.
- Oracle ERP knowledge a plus.
- Efficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend information and ideas presented in writing.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment.
- Superior organizational skills.
- Communicate oral and written business transactions effectively with customers, sales team, and inter-departments.
- Always display business professionalism.
- Team member supporter with Inside Sales and other Wieland Chase departments.
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance.
