Wieland is hiring a Process Engineer. The Process Engineer will plan, direct, and coordinate process flow and align quality requirements in an industrial setting in support of company objectives and customer requirements. The Process Engineer will work with the production team and will be the Continuous Improvement Agent for assigned shop floor areas. This role is located in Cuba, MO and will be fully on-site.
Responsibilities
Process Engineer Responsibilities:
- Learn all machine functions and process flow of assigned areas and corresponding quality requirements.
- Become subject matter expert for the technical and quality aspects of assigned area, optimizing, developing, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures.
- Analyze, record and maintain process data for future reference.
- Identify, design and implement optimization of workflow in accordance with quality requirements to increase productivity
- Lead continuous improvement and implement cost reduction activities.
- Develop and deliver training on new and revised SOP to department trainers.
- Utilize problem solving and statistical tools to resolve processing and quality issues.
- Participate in the development and execution of equipment installation and operational qualifications to achieve expected process capability.
- Collaborate with maintenance to maximize production equipment reliability.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Process Engineer Qualifications:
- 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment with mechanical and/or production processes, quality assurance, and Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Materials Science Engineering preferred).
- Flexible, people oriented and able to work in a team environment.
- Possess strong and demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills that foster developing creative solutions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment – strong ability to multitask complex projects efficiently.
- Ability to support operating goals and to execute process improvement projects, including the ability to define, develop, and document requirements.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point required. AutoCAD experience preferred.
