Wieland is hiring a Production Planner. The Production Planner is critical to ensuring seamless coordination between production, sales, and logistics to support operational excellence. This role is responsible for scheduling and tracking production orders, managing inventory and its replenishment, coordinating shipments, and providing administrative support for production within the ProShop manufacturing execution system. The inventory management encompasses all production needs, including tooling, outsourced services and materials. To fulfill this requirement, the Planner collaborates closely with global procurement and corporate finance to align purchasing activities and monitor accounts payable processes.

The Planner is also tasked with resolving production system issues efficiently, maintaining accurate system records and generating actionable reports for continuous improvement. With strong communication and teamwork, the Planner ensures alignment across sales, procurement, production, and other key stakeholders, fostering a unified approach to achieving customer satisfaction and operational goals.

This role is located in Pine Hall, NC and will be fully on-site.  

Responsibilities

Production Planner Responsibilities:

• Scheduling Production orders within ProShop and tracking their completion.
• Coordinate shipments with Sales and Logistics.
• Administrative support for the production team within ProShop.
• Inventory Management for pre-material, tooling and critical MRO.
• Managing production’s procurement needs and issuing purchase requisitions in SAP for pre-material, tooling, MRO and subcontracted/outsourced services.
• Communicate effectively with the corporate global procurement team and, if necessary, suppliers and subcontractors to assure delivery according to schedule.
• Investigates and resolves production issues, complaints, and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Investigates and resolves issues related to the manufacturing execution IT system (ProShop).
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure comprehensive and effective solutions.
• Maintains accurate and detailed records of all manufacturing planning activities.
• Collaborates with cross-functional and regional teams, including sales, global procurement, production, and product management, to ensure a unified approach to customer satisfaction.

Production Planner Qualifications:

• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the ability to access and handle ITAR “Technical Data” as defined by 22 CFR § 120.33 is an essential function.
• 2 years experience of working in planning/administrative role.
• Prior experience in a CNC machine shop environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• Prior experience in ProShop is a plus but not required
• Prior experience in SAP is a plus but not required
