Wieland is hiring a Small Bench Operator. The Small Bench Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating a Draw Bench to draw tubing to required size listed on specifications. This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site.
Starting Pay: $19.38/hr for 60-90 day training period, then $24.24/hr
Schedule: 2nd shift, 3p-11p -- traning on 1st shift, 7a-3p
Pay Schedule: Weekly
Responsibilities
Small Bench Operator Responsibilities:
- Maintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required
- Maintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisor/management and during shift changes to effectively complete tasks
- Produces material within prescribed tolerances using appropriate measuring device with focus on the “next customer” in a timely manner
- Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work environment
- Performs Draw Bench set-up after analyzing traveler ticket (production order sheet)
- Maintains accurate records as needed on traveler tickets and/or daily production sheets
- Welds plugs on rods; replaces “paddles” as necessary
- Maintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine specific SOP’s.
- Demonstrates proficient knowledge utilizing measuring devices.
- Able to work various overtime as business needs require
- Cross-trains in other areas as needed
