Wieland is hiring a Supply Chain and Planning Supervisor. The Supply Chain & Planning Supervisor will be responsible in overseeing the supply chain and planning activities to ensure efficient operation, cost-effectiveness, ensuring product flow and implementing strategic improvements. This role will provide training, support to their team and ensure collaboration among different departments. This role is located in Wheeling, IL and will be fully on-site. 

Responsibilities

Supply Chain & Planning Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop a team of planers and supply chain professionals, assigning tasks, providing performance feedback, and coaching for career growth.
• Oversee the process of predicting future customer demand using historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors to ensure adequate inventory levels
• Monitor and optimize inventory levels across the supply chain, identifying areas for improvement to minimize stockouts and excess inventory costs.
• Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and quality standards, ensuring timely and reliable product delivery.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and potential issues, using data analytics tools to generate actionable insights.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the supply chain to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory turnover, lead time, customer service levels, and cost savings to assess supply chain performance
• Work closely with other departments such as sales, production, and finance to align supply chain strategies with overall business goals.

Supply Chain & Planning Supervisor Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management, or production planning preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively, and provide constructive feedback.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex supply chain issues, including identifying root causes and developing solutions.
• Familiarity with relevant supply chain management software, ERP systems (SAP), and data visualization tools (Power BI).
• Good knowledge of Value Streams and ability to think in processes
