Shift Leader

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading the team to achieve operational excellence. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for the hospitality industry, and the ability to manage various aspects of restaurant operations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide outstanding customer service and address any guest concerns promptly.
• Manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels for peak times.
• Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
• Assist in training new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
• Handle cash management tasks, including cash handling and reconciliation at the end of shifts.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards.
• Implement health and safety regulations in accordance with food management practices.
• Support catering operations as needed to enhance guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of casual dining operations, including bar management and kitchen processes.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Proficient in inventory control methods and food management practices.
• Experience with cash handling procedures and financial reporting.
• Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $14.53 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
