CNC Lead Programmer 2nd shift

- Lays out, measures and marks metal stock in order to display placement of cuts.
- Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
- Checks work pieces to ensure that they are properly lubricated and cooled.
- Positions and fastens work pieces.
- Writes and enters the commands for CNC Machines.
- Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling.
- Reads and interprets blueprints.
- Uses gages and measures instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
- Loads and unloads castings and raw materials into CNC machinery.
- Ensures that all commands entered actually lead to the desired outcomes.
- Troubleshoots problems for CNC Machine users and reports problems to manager.
- Operates equipment to verify operational efficiency.
- Cleans and lubricates machines, tools and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains and foreign matter.
- Sets controls to regulate machining, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
- Confers with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel in order to exchange technical information.
- Machines parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
- Sets up, adjusts, and operates all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform
- precision machining operations.
- Aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
- Monitors the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
- Studies sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of
- operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
- Selects the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
- Establishes work procedures for fabricating new structural products, using a variety of metalworking machines.
- Evaluates experimental procedures, and recommends changes or modifications for improved efficiency and adaptability to setup
- and production
- Installs experimental parts and assemblies such as hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, lubricants, and batteries into machines and
- mechanisms.
- Sets up and operates metalworking, brazing, heat-treating, welding, and cutting equipment.
- Provides training to other employees on tasks as needed.
- Holds small meetings with night shift to ensure that information is being communicated accurately.
- Performs duties related to shipping and receiving during the night shift.
- Informs Machine Shop Manager of any issues or concerns that arise during the night shift.
- Communicates information to night shift employees if Machine Shop Manager is not on site.
- Performs ancillary duties as needed.
Ihr Profil
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Some secondary technical school course work preferred.
- 3-5 years prior experience in a CNC Operator/Programmer role required.
- Must be able to program CNC Machines.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one’s conduct.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
- Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
- Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
