Calibrator

Your activities

• Performs calibration and adjustments on gauges
• Installs, repairs, maintains and adjusts process instruments used to control and measure variables, such as pressure
• Makes adjustments as necessary to product within specified accuracy
• Performs changeovers and assists in troubleshooting calibration equipment, rejects non calibratable product
• Performs various assembly and final inspection responsibilities
• Provides on-the-job training to new employees and provides feedback to supervisor
• Completes daily production logs
• Performs preventive maintenance (PM) on calibration equipment
• Communicates with operators from other shifts
• Cleans and maintains work area (5S)
• Assists mechanics and machinists in repair work
• Performs ancillary duties as needed
  
  

Your profile

• Previous gauge calibration experience in a manufacturing environment is required
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required
• The ability to stand for long periods up to eight or more hours at a time
• Able to work in noisy environment
• Good eyesight (eyesight correction acceptable)
• Be able to work overtime if required. (including weekends)
• Reach 100% of required output with 100% quality for the product family of the home cell
• Be able to set up calibration equipment for all ranges within home cell
