DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB:
- Assist in the completion of Work Orders to ensure production will not be interrupted
- Complete daily work lists as assigned by supervision.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the equipment, the process, and the interdependence of sections of the plant.
- Sets up the machine parameters to make prepare for production
- Use information provided on work order to set solder machine to ensure proper specifications of the pressure system.
- Ensure station tooling is secure and adjusted properly so finished product meet WIKA standards.
- Observes machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining or assembly,
- Adjusts machine to control part process and maintain safe operation.
- Inspects “first part” and work pieces throughout the production run for out of tolerance machining or assembly.
- Fine-tunes machine settings for optimum performance.
- Cleans and maintains machine, tooling and parts to maintain equipment in optimal production condition.
- Exercises special care to ensure the machine is running correctly to prevent costly scrap or rework
- Performs changeovers throughout shift based on production schedule.
- Performs basic maintenance, repairs and troubleshoots issues.
- Assists mechanics and machinists in repair work.
- Trained in calibration and soldering processes for a full understanding of their impact on machine function is required.
- Complete and maintain daily logs and required production paperwork.
- Provides on-the-job training to new employees.
- Performs ancillary duties as needed.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- H.S. diploma or GED, 2 years trade school preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing or production, preferred
- General maintenance of industrial equipment
- industrial mechanical maintenance
- Machinist and or Mechanic experience
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to handle material up to 50 lbs. with the assistance of hand trucks, lifts, conveyors and hoists.
- Must be able to stand for long periods up to eight or more hours at a time.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision and the ability to distinguish between subsets of individual colors and quality of colors.
- Must be able to work overtime if required. (including weekends)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
