Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, fabrication, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
- Analyze blueprints and project specifications to determine project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and timelines for construction projects.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and Construction Foreman for estimating and project management tasks.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is required.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam and Contractor Foreman is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate price calculations.
- Ability to effectively negotiate contracts with various stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of cost control measures within the construction industry.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
