Summary
Responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing user manuals, installation guides, and technical specifications for work platforms, lifts, and/or access products. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and safety.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, installers, and subject matter experts to gather the necessary information and ensure that all documentation meets the highest standards of accuracy and clarity.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling writing for diverse audiences.
- Create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding product and installation process.
- Ensure that all documentation complies with company branding and regulatory requirements.
- Update existing documentation for accuracy and reflect changes in product features or functionality.
- Manage feedback and project revisions ensuring stakeholder approval before publication.
- Perform additional duties as required to support business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Technical Communication, English, or related field of study.
- Minimum two years of related experience.
- Exceptional written communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to understand complex technical information and translate it into simple language.
- Experience in conducting research and interviews to gather information effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Physical Requirements include: Twisting, turning, grasping, reaching, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of standing, ability to lift twenty-five pounds. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment (copier/printer). Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
