They also have a construction division that installs lawn crypts, columbarium niches, and mausoleums in cemeteries across the United States. Furthermore, their veteran memorial division assists in the design, development, and funding of memorial projects for communities, civic organizations, and private cemeteries. The company operates manufacturing plants, warehouses, monument production facilities, a casket manufacturing plant, and nine crematories. Their monument division produces granite memorials and markers, custom granite signage, and engraved brick pavers, and they also engage in wholesale monument sales.
The Sand Blaster is responsible for the precise application of stencils and the skilled operation of sandblasting equipment to create intricate designs and names on stone surfaces. This role requires a strong attention to detail, physical strength to handle heavy stones, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards in stone etching. Responsibilities
- Precision Etching: Locate the center of the stone surface and meticulously apply stencils according to specified cut lines.
- Stencil Preparation: Ensure the stencils are properly prepared for the sandblasting process.
- Stone Loading: Safely load stones onto designated racks, demonstrating the ability to handle weights ranging from 100lbs to 200lbs.
- Sandblasting Expertise: Operate sandblasting equipment within a blast booth to etch names and designs onto the stone surfaces, maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
- Post-Etching Cleanup: Remove stencils and thoroughly clean the etched stones to achieve a pristine finish.
- Quality Assurance: Compare and review stencils with the layout for verification, ensuring precise execution of designs.
- Physical Strength: Capable of lifting and moving stones weighing between 100lbs and 200lbs.
- Attention to Detail: Possess a keen eye for detail to ensure accurate stencil application and high-quality etching.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in operating sandblasting equipment and familiar with the sandblasting process.
- Quality Control: Ability to review stencils and layouts for verification, maintaining consistency in etching work.
