Responsible for the supervision and control of the process plant according to the timetable set during the production shift assigned. It monitors the preparation and movement of raw materials and product quality. Coordinates personnel in charge.Role and Responsibilities
- Ensures that all personnel adhere to established safety policies and practices
- Plans, and executes production activity as established by master schedule
- Creates and maintains an environment that inspires efficient productivity
- Leads personnel through established processes
- Demands accurate production, scrap and machine utilization data reporting
- Manages resources to achieve greater efficiency, increased machine uptime and less scrap
- Partners with tooling, processing and maintenance to schedule down time for repairs, mold changes and other equipment adjustments
- Reports all down time, production interruptions, missed shipments and other exceptions as dictated by policy
- Provides accurate labor/attendance and production reports to the management team
- Prepares requisitions for procurement of supplies
- Ensures that all shift personnel’s work hours are accurately recorded
- Provides excellence customer service to all internal and external customers
- Leads department in meeting goals and objectives as established by management team, while aligning with division and corporate vision, goals and objectives
- Consistently interprets and applies company policies
- Creates and maintains a work environment of ongoing development and growth
- Conducts coaching sessions with employees
- Accurately completes documentation associated with enforcing the established discipline policies
- Participates in recruiting, screening and hiring of employees
- Help support building a strong team that is cross functional across all Departments
- “Leads by example” and maintains a strong professional demeanor at all times and always possess a “Can do attitude”
- Uses sound judgment and accurate data while formulating plans of action
- Completes performance evaluations on time as established by corporate policy
- Performs other duties assigned and trained.
- Plan and manage warehouse and shipping operations to ensure delivery efficiency while maintaining cost-effective means for delivery
- Manage staff of employees to meet production and customer requirements to ensure customer requirements/order accuracy
- Oversee containment segregation activity
- Maintain material and product quality while in storage and while transporting
- Ensure receiving efficiency
- Optimize staffing by working with incoming shipment schedules
- Participate in scheduled physical inventory events
Leadership responsibilities
- Coach, motivate, develop and manage associates within assigned area of responsibility
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Supervision in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in the plastics industry preferred
- All required WilbertU Courses based on job title
Warehouse Specific – in addition to above qualifications
- 3 years’ experience in warehouse operations
- Previous experience with ERP systems
