Wilbert Precast, Inc., is seeking a QC Technician for its Quality Control Team at our Yakima location. This employee performs routine tests on raw materials, in-process components, and final products as required, ensuring quality products are delivered to our customers. The ideal candidate is organized and detail-oriented, emphasizing quality work.
The position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of Quality Control functions including, but not limited to, the following:
- Perform quality testing of self-consolidated plastic concrete
- Temperature
- Air Entrainment
- Unit Weight/Yield
- Spread/Visual Stability IndexPrepare test cylinders for compressive strength testingPerform testing for compressive strength
- Perform testing on aggregate (Moisture)
- Perform daily pre-pour and post-pour inspections
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School DiplomaExperience in a construction setting
- Experience in Quality Control
- Ability to understand units of measurement and translate them to production
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to problem-solve and organize
- Strong communication skills in a team environment
- Good math skills
Qualifications:
- Team Player
Ability to handle physical workload:
- Lift up to 60lbs
- Extended duration on foot (up to 8 hours)
- Stand, walk, crouch, kneel, stretch, and claim for extended periods.
- Repetitive use of hand tools and power tools

Reports To: Quality Control Manager
Compensation: $22 to $24 per hour - Eligible for an increase after obtaining ACI certification.
FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-exempt.
