Communications Coordinator
Job Summary: Support Internal Wilco Teams by executing communication strategies.
Responsibilities
- Write and compile all information to publish marketing calendars and send promotional communication and logistical details to retail stores.
- Create and edit all promotional and everyday sign needs for the retail farm stores, including the organization and outsourcing of monthly in-store sign packets.
- Coordinate, edit, and help write various content to support communications and marketing efforts including Team Newsletters, Co-Op Member Newsletters, Brochures, and Presentation Slides.
- Update and maintain the Marlin/AppSpace Community Digital Bulletin Boards throughout the enterprise.
- Coordinate filming, presentations, and deployment of companywide video notes.
- Assist with proofreading and editing of internal communications, like press releases and internal emails/memos.
- Maintain and update Wilco’s LinkedIn and career / recruiting-related promotional support.
- Maintain Service Level Standards (SLAs) for marketing responses from customers through Contact Us and Email replies.
- Support the Marketing Manager in all the above including any coordination of other communication-related events such as the Annual Member Meeting and Leadership Conference.
- Travel to and work at or around other Farm Stores and Wilco Facilities as needed.
- Assist as a backup for company donations and sponsorship execution.
- Provide coverage support to the Marketing Coordinator role, examples of building promotional files, marketing supplies support, and coop collection.

- Proficient with MS Office, Outlook, and the ability to learn additional programs.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and projects, and meet established deadlines.
- Possess a strong work ethic while being able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented office environment.
Experience/Education
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or marketing, or 2 years of equivalent communications or marketing experience (required)
- Retail and/or agricultural knowledge and experience (preferred)
Physical Requirements
- Occasional lifting of over 50 pounds.
- Work sometimes requires long periods of walking and standing.
Working Conditions
- Work is conducted primarily in an office environment.
