What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stocker / Ecomm position at Wilco?
JOB SUMMARY:
Wilco stockers prepare merchandise for the sales floor and stock products as needed and directed. Stockers provide product information, answer customer questions, and prepare products for eCommerce orders. They support the floor team in store initiatives and in reaching store goals, and also participate in general cleaning and maintenance of the retail facility. Stockers also provide warehouse and load-out backup, and assist on the sales floor when necessary (and able).
Responsibilities
- Correctly stock merchandise utilizing established stocking and merchandising processes.
- Maintain store orderliness and cleanliness utilizing established standards.
- Organize and maintain cleanliness of backstock merchandise and work areas.
- Properly communicate stock discrepancies, bin tag needs, and quality issues.
- Participate in generating store-wide pick lists and working them to completion.
- Maintain stocking log.
- Participate in pulling special orders and/or special order handling, as necessary.
- Participate in system and merchandise processes as assigned.
- Maintain and comply with established retail standards.
- Ensure that customers are welcomed, and their needs are addressed by the appropriate staff member.
- Participate in store and team meetings as required.
Special Skills/Training
- Skilled at product recognition and identification.
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to operate a computer and other automated office machines.
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
Education Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
- Regular bag/bale lifting.
- Prolonged standing and repetitive bending.
Working Conditions
- Indoor/outdoor work.
- Rural, pet-friendly environment.
