What are the responsibilities and job description for the HBE Sanitation Laborer position at Wilcox Farms?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works as a member of the sanitation crew in its nightly operations.
- Disassembles parts of the processing equipment, sanitizes them, and reassembles them.
- Washes and sanitizes all processing equipment, meeting or exceeding USDA standards.
- Washes floors, walls, and bathrooms of the plant.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and/or Experience
- No formal education experience required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, and Spanish (desired).
- Strong interpersonal, planning, organizational, and problem solving skills.
Preferred Education and/or Experience
- The ability to handle multiple priorities and effectively prioritize tasks and projects.
- Solid PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and proven Internet experience.
- Sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- HAACP, GMP, and BRC experience.
- Basic maintenance and electrical skills.
