Engineering CAD Technicians support Mechanical Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Operations. Engineering CAD technicians work closely with other Engineers and Program Managers to ensure Wilcox stays on the leading edge of technology and innovation while ensuring the team is delivering a product that our customer can trust his / her life with.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepares component and system level 3D CAD-based models and drawings based on design inputs from requirements and engineering direction.
• Generates and documents Bill of Materials for assemblies.
• Assists in the preparation of prototypes and models for mechanical systems and components.
• Supports 3D printing efforts for engineering prototypes, parts and tooling.
• Works with other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical designs into multi-disciplinary systems.
• Helps identify potential design problems and works with engineering to determine possible solutions.
• Conducts hands-on testing in laboratory or field settings to evaluate the performance, durability, and functionality of mechanical systems.
• Maintains organized records of design changes and / or testing results for future reference and traceability.
• Supports other related documentation requests.
