POSITION SUMMARY
The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for entering sales orders, coordinating product delivery, and delivering order confirmations. This role supports the Internal Sales Department to respond to customer inquiries as well as enter and follow-up on order quotations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides excellent customer service through communication, problem resolution, and quick turnaround.
2. Enter customer sales orders received by the Inside Sales Representatives or Sales Managers
3. Coordinate with the production department to determine accurate order ship dates.
4. Follow-up with customer to deliver timely order confirmations.
5. Enter and follow-up on customer quotations.
6. Coordinates with internal departments to resolve sales order issues while ensuring compliance with company procedures.
7. Assist with answering incoming phone calls.
8. Generate sales reports, as required.
9. Ensure export compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
10. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Background
1. A minimum of three years of technical data entry experience, preferably for a company with global operations
2. Experience with inside sales support, production, and shipping activities strongly preferred.
Skills
1. Strong organizational skills, time management, and ability to prioritize tasks.
2. Ability to work accurately with a high level of attention to detail
3. Ability to process orders quickly and efficiently.
4. Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
5. Good clerical skills, together with computing and data entry skills.
6. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
7. ERP data entry experience
Education
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Office / Sedentary Requirements:
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66% each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
