What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Manager position at Wild Adventures?
- Oversee all functions of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll processing.
- Review sales data from various point of sale systems, ensuring data is appropriately recorded in the general ledger. Identify and follow up on irregularities, reporting significant issues to management, review daily sales reports for management, advising management on significant trends, and implementing company systems and procedures. Make decisions related to how to handle various issues or new processes in sales audit as well as finding ways to make the department more efficient
- Supervise full-time and seasonal staff. Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing/managing workflow; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Oversee payroll file processing within weekly deadlines.
- Provide leadership support to Cash Control and Sales Audit departments.
- Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts each period, verifying reconciliations tie to the general ledger
- Oversee the calculation and accrual of expenses incurred but not received on a period basis.
- Monitor prepaid expenses for timely adjustments to the P&L.
- Manage and select payables to ensure compliance with contracts
- Prepare any adjusting entries to the general ledger as needed
- Oversee credit card research for park. Will require annual PCI compliance training.
- Ensure proper coding/setup of ticket/product coding
- Assist with Business/Division unit financial reviews for expenditure and revenue review.
- Assist with preparing annual budgets and forecasting financial results.
- Ensure compliance with property policies and procedures.
- Foster interdepartmental communications to assist with proper revenue/expense recognition
- Assist with, and sometimes lead, communications with auditors
- Monitor fixed asset listing and inventory accounts for accuracy and reasonableness
- Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting principles and company financial policies and procedures.
- Outstanding communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Continually seek opportunities to streamline financial process and reporting to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality for all matters relating to the company
- Assist with special projects, financial analysis and other duties as assigned by the Director or GM
