What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Field Technician (Temporary 6 months) position at Wild Bill's Tobacco?
- Provide exceptional IT field support by troubleshooting technical issues related to software, hardware, and network issues.
- Maintains network systems, installing new hardware and modifying existing hardware, and related network software and applications.
- Installs and maintains peripheral devices including printers, hubs, routers, and other equipment.
- Communicates with end users to understand and troubleshoot problems.
- Act as first line of computer support while working with other IT staff on more complex problems
- Troubleshoot Laptops, while working in Windows 10/11
- Collaborates with network administrator to review and analyze hardware and software needs; recommends changes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Travel to assigned field locations often
- Requires the ability to work extended hours Monday - Sunday
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Basic understanding of existing network programs and capabilities.
- Excellent workstation and network troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
- At least three years of experience in network maintenance and user technical support preferred.
- A , Network , and/or similar certifications highly preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
