Co-Assistant Store Manager

Wild by Nature is a family-owned business operating on Long Island for decades. We are looking for motivated individuals interested in entering our Management Training Program, with the goal of obtaining the position of Co-Assistant Store Manager.

Our Co-Assistant Managers typically work a 1-10 PM shift Monday through Saturday (off one day during the week), and rotating Sundays. This position is overtime eligible.

Successful candidates wishing to join the team must be able to multitask, communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, take direction, and be able to resolve issues independently, timely and efficiently. This position is for the Huntington Wild by Nature, but qualified candidates must be willing to travel to the other 3 Wild by Nature locations if needed (Setauket, Oceanside and Hampton Bays).

Qualifications:

• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
• Possess basic math, computer, writing, and communication skills.
• Motivated, dependable and adaptable, with a track record of being responsible and accountable.
• Ability to efficiently multitask.

• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
• Present themselves in a businesslike and professional manner.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years in retail industry in a leadership role is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support, uphold, and enforce all Company policies, and local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Oversee daily store operations and ensures each department is functioning effectively.
• Handle customer concerns and ensure a proper solution.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels and maximize sales. Correctly verify the delivery of all merchandise directly or through associates.
• Maintain high standards of store image ensuring that the store is clean, well-stocked, and ready for business.
• Strive to increase sales through suggestive selling skills/techniques and to consistently improve customer service.
• Ensure information flows to all store associates and advise management of significant events impacting the store.
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Salary : $39,600 - $50,200
