As an Educator, you will be responsible for assisting in any of the classrooms within our schoolhouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Possesses a solid understanding of development throughout early childhood and has knowledge of how to facilitate learning.
- Interacts with children through instructional methods to include play, music, arts and crafts, reading, writing, science and physical activities.
- Guides children's lifelong lessons that go beyond the classroom and supports the creative output of children’s art/curriculum.
- Creates and maintains relationships with every child and family and assesses their needs. Ensures parents are knowledgeable about the child’s program.
- Creates and employs curricula that are developmentally appropriate and meets the needs of children from diverse backgrounds.
- Promotes and fosters each child's positive self-esteem and individual development toward fullest potential in the areas of physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth.
- Encourages and models language expansion, extended learning and problem solving strategies throughout the day.
- Support development and implementation of weekly lesson plans that are consistent with the program curriculum and pre-K guidelines.
Knowledge
Educator must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
- Early Childhood growth and development
- An understanding of early childhood education curriculum
- Computer programs and applications needed to communicate with staff and community: Slack, Brightwheel, Google Workplace, Canva

Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree and State certification. A baccalaureate degree in early childhood education or related field of study, or
- At least 6-12 units in core child development courses required (can acquire units on the job)
Certificates and Licenses:
- CPR & First Aid certification required after hiring and must be maintained.
- CA Child Care Permit or equivalent credentials

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
