We are looking for a Corporate Accounting Manager to join our Wild Fork team!
This is an in-office role, Monday – Friday, in Miami, FL.
Essential Tasks And Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP or IFRS
- Collaborate with department heads to align accounting practices with corporate goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting operations
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and safeguard company assets.
- Review journal entries
- Sign off on bank account reconciliations
- Review of sales and intercompany reconciliations
- Investigate unusual transactions and balances in the GL and subledger reports
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Coordinate training programs to keep the team updated on accounting regulations and best practices.
- Utilize technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness in financial reporting and analysis
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Assist with external audits and respond to audit findings promptly
- Monitor compliance with company policy and procedures
- Periodically evaluate performance of all employees in compliance with company policy (at least annually)
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification or MBA preferred
- 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a management role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS and experience with financial statement preparation and consolidation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; SAP preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail – demonstrated ability to review detailed financial statements with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to juggle competing projects and achieve accurateresults, excellent time management skills, and flexibility to meet changing priorities
