Server/Bartender (Full and/or Part Time)

Overview:

We have two full service restaurants serving lunch, brunch and dinner with a weekend bar crowd. Everyone works some nights and weekends. Being small, very busy restaurants, this is not an easy job or the place for lazy people. If you want to work hard and be part of a close knit, positive team with good compensation, Wild Magnolia and Bowl-B-Q Smokehouse & Bar may be the spots for you. If you have never served or bartended before, but would like to, we will be glad to train you. If you already have experience, we'd love to talk to you!

Note: Must be 21 or over in order to bartend in the state of Virginia.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and restaurant
- Adhere to all food safety and handling procedures
- Operate point of sale (POS) system and handle customer payments
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible serving practices
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the bar and restaurant

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server, bartender or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of bartending techniques, drink recipes, and mixology trends preferred
- Familiarity with using a POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Basic math skills
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
