Wild Mike’s Ultimate Pizza is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join the Team! We are the 19th largest independent frozen food manufacturer in the US located in Clackamas, OR, and we are experiencing exponential growth!

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supervising all production activities for the facility. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Sheeting production including optimization of personnel, equipment, processes and materials as well as continued food safety, quality, delivery and sanitation/housekeeping performance improvements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
It is essential for all employees to adhere to Company policies. Utilize lean manufacturing principles, measured production systems and processes to maximize production efficiency and support the achievement of the site’s business goals, objectives and financial performance. Responsible for continuous improvement and development of personnel, processes, materials and machinery leading to improved facility/food safety, quality, delivery and sanitation/housekeeping performance improvements.
A. Direct, organize tasks and issue assignments for all direct reports
B. Maintains a ‘lean manufacturing’ environment that achieves measurable results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations on a daily basis
C. Plans, schedules, coordinates and assists personnel and outside resources to meet departmental and seasonal demands
D. Ensure staffing levels and schedules are appropriate for production levels
E. Recommends and implements methods for improvement in equipment, operating procedures and working conditions
F. Communicates production requirements to production staff, assures all inventory shortages are communicated to appropriate management staff
G. Implements policies, procedures and GMP’s to assure regulatory procedures are met
H. Trains staff to maintain equipment and facility in strict compliance to all requisite governmental and industry regulatory requirements and informs Bakery Manager of compliance issues

Q. Responsible for ensuring daily housekeeping duties are completed thoroughly and correctly
R. Responsible for correcting and/or reporting food safety issues and ensuring team members follow established SOPs, SSOPs, and GMPs
S. Coordinates and participates in start-ups, shut-downs, and changeovers to ensure efficiency and on-time completion. Ensures work areas are stocked to ensure supplies and equipment needed are present.
T. Clarifies target expectations for team members and ensures daily activities align with goals
U. Communicates performance to targets, accomplishments, and safety performance to team members
V. Oversee the development and utilization of other employees by Sheeting Production Supervision
W. Assures new employee orientation and competency training is complete for assigned job
X. Completes performance evaluations for staff members, provides employee coaching and development and resolves issues through problem resolution and disciplinary action
Y. Escalates serious or unresolved performance issues to Production Manager
Z. Operates and diagnoses issues in the process to achieve targets
AA. Monitors and corrects deviations from standards and base settings
BB. Supports change process and communicates pass-down information in a timely manner
CC. Identifies problems and addresses them appropriately
DD. Ensures all Company Personnel, Food Safety and Safety policies are adhered to

Education/SKILL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
A. High School diploma or equivalent
B. 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment in lieu of degree
C. Literacy in PC, MS Office
D. Working knowledge of lockout/tag out procedures and other pertinent OSHA practices
E. Ability to follow given standard operation procedures and communicate recommended changes through proper channels
F. Ability to work with and through other people to accomplish production demands, adapt to changing circumstances, personalities and hours.
G. Ability to read, write and speak English and math.
H. A legal right to work in the United States
I. Must pass a drug screen and a background check in accordance with S.A. Piazza & Associates, Inc. standards.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
A. Standing/Walking: Continually – Most assignments and work functions are performed while standing.
B. Sitting: Occasionally – Some assignments are completed while either sitting or standing and only applies to certain work areas and/or work functions.
C. Crouching (bending at knees): Occasionally – Crouching is necessary when lifting materials.
D. Reaching: Continually – All positions require continual handling of small parts and various materials. Reaching is primarily performed between waist and shoulder level. Some overhead reaching is required.
E. Stooping (bend at waist): Occasionally – May bend at waist while setting up work activities.
F. Kneeling: Rarely – Kneels to retrieve materials from the floor.
G. Handling: Continually – Handles products that come in various forms: buckets, boxes, bins.
H. Fingering/Feeling/Grasping: Continually – Required for all tasks.
I. Lifting/Carrying: Frequently – All tasks require lifting and carrying boxes or bins of materials/parts up to 30 feet. A typical weight range is 10-50 pounds. Stacks of boxes may weigh as much as 55 pounds.
J. Push/Pull – Frequently – Pallets jack of product with loads weighing as much as 2000 pounds.
K. Seeing: have 20/20 vision or 20/30 corrected vision.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL HAZARDS
A. Works in production environment with regular exposure to noise and cleaning agents including bleach.
B. Works in a production environment with a controlled temperature of -10 - 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
C. Must adhere to Company safety policies and wear the required personal protective equipment.
UNPLANNED ACTIVITIES/ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
