What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Teacher position at Wild Oak Academy?
Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for preschool-aged children.
- Support the lead teacher in creating engaging and interactive lessons that promote early math skills.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher in planning and implementing activities that enhance the social, emotional, and cognitive development of students.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Help manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
- Provide individualized attention and support to students as needed.
- Assist with daily routines such as mealtime, naptime, and bathroom breaks.
- Communicate effectively with parents and provide updates on their child's progress.
-Help teachers get breaks during the day.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Familiarity with curriculum development for preschool-aged children.
- Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Understanding of childhood development milestones.
- Strong classroom management skills.
