Overview
The Customer Relations Specialist position is a unique opportunity to work in an office position for a busy bakery, café, and market. The role includes customer service as well as supporting the bakery departments with printed materials and resources. A typical day will include speaking with customers on the phone, responding to emails, designing and printing stickers or signage, editing recipes, and writing up catering orders. This position is very customer forward, so the ideal candidate will enjoy speaking with people on the phone, in person, and via email. Candidates who enjoy having a multitude of tasks and love having variety in their days will enjoy this position.
The Customer Relations person will:
- Work 5 days a week; occasional overtime, evening events, and holidays as needed.
- Be scheduled 2 weekend days (with Thursdays and Fridays off).
Customer Relations and Office Job Duties:
- Responsible for handling customer communication via telephone, email, and occasionally in person.
- Writes up catering orders and is responsible for offering catering advice to customers for big events or orders.
- Follows up on customer comments, feedback, and requests in a timely manner.
- Provides our baking, savory, support, bread, and counter departments with stickers and signage as needed.
- Works with the kitchen teams to edit and format in-house recipes.
- Creates and formats lists, inventories, and other documents to support the business.
- Participates in evening catering events on-site a few times a year.
- Helps to spread the word about upcoming events and holiday menus.
