Responsibilities

As a barista, you will provide excellent service to our customers by delivering the perfect beverage that exceeds customer expectations; beverages include a wide variety of specialty coffees, teas, hot chocolate, using espresso machines, coffee urns and blended drinks.

Take pride in our beverage and food selections by ensuring you can offer recommendations to our customers

Take initiative and consistently grow and expand your coffee making knowledge

Treat customers as the first priority at all times; offering respect and kindness to both customers and employees

Execute all operational standards correctly, in a timely manner and in accordance with the coffee house standards, safety and health codes

Take pride in the coffee house ensuring a clean and tidy environment ensuring that cleanliness encompasses all aspects of the customer experience

Ensure that the coffee house is welcoming to all customers by having a stocked display case and neatly displayed merchandise

Work in the coffee house requires physical activity (i.e., prolonged standing, repetitive bending, lifting, climbing, operating espresso machines), and kitchen prep duties when needed

Properly, safely, and efficiently prepares various food products for our charcuterie board and grab and go food items following and observing standard food handling procedures

Observes any problems with the quality or quantity of food being served and takes appropriate steps to resolve issues

Continuously cleans and wipes work areas including, removing garbage, cleaning coffee machines, countertops etc

Support Wild Starr Coffee House goals and initiatives and be a team player

Availability to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends

Protect Wild Starr Coffee House assets by adhering to all processes and working efficiently to control waste and shrink

Accept responsibility and execute all assignments correctly and with care

Shows up ready and willing to be a reliable team player and support one another

Accept coaching and feedback from others openly

Preferred

Customer service experience

Observes grooming, customer service, and uniform/dress standards

Ability to work effectively with a minimum of supervision

Ability to quickly learn about the products, cash register operation, and location features
