Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour (DOE)
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Position Summary
The Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the security and emergency medical response teams within Wild Waves Theme & Water Park. This role ensures the safety of all guests and employees by maintaining a vigilant security presence, enforcing park policies, and responding to medical and security incidents. The ideal candidate will have experience in security, safety, and emergency response, with strong leadership skills to manage the park’s public safety personnel.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead the Safety Team, including Security Officers and EMT/Medical Response personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all park safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Monitor security operations, including patrolling the park, overseeing entrance and exit security procedures, and responding to guest concerns.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response plans in collaboration with local law enforcement, EMS, and fire agencies.
  • Conduct training programs for security and medical personnel, including crisis management, de-escalation techniques, and emergency response protocols.
  • Investigate incidents involving safety concerns, security breaches, or medical emergencies, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Assist in staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations for the Safety Team.
  • Administration and audits of Safety Committee and weekly safety meetings.
  • Work closely with park leadership to assess and mitigate safety risks throughout the park.
  • Respond to all medical emergencies and assist as needed, ensuring proper first aid and emergency care are provided and properly reported.
  • Maintain all safety and security equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and readily available.
  • Serve as a liaison with external agencies, including local police, fire, and EMS services.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of park facilities to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Responsible for following and enforcing Washington State labor laws, park-specific policies, and employee break policies to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Park Operations.
Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Security, safety, or emergency response experience preferred (theme park, hospitality, amusement, or similar industries).
  • Experience in leading teams, training staff, and overseeing safety operations.
  • EMT certification preferred or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
  • Prior security experience preferred (law enforcement, security management, or related fields).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and calm.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to maintain clear and detailed reports.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs..
  • Ability to climb, kneel, bend, and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to emergency situations.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, you will be exposed to the outdoor environment. This includes being exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. You will also frequently be required to walk from one part of the park to the other side to ensure smooth operations of your department. This walk will require you to go up and down multiple flights of stairs along with multiple hills and uneven surfaces.
