General Construction Laborer/Carpenter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a passion for the construction industry. This role involves working on various projects, including residential and commercial builds, renovations, and restorations. The Carpenter/Laborer will be responsible for executing tasks with precision and attention to detail while ensuring safety standards are met on-site. All job sites are located within 50 miles or less from Chapman, KS. Health and dental benefits begin after 60 days of full time employment. Retirement plan is eligible at end of year with a employer match. Starting pay is negotiable depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry tasks including framing, door hanging, and fixture installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.
• Engage in heavy lifting and moving of materials as required throughout the construction site.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Experience

• Proven experience as a carpenter or laborer in the construction field is preferred.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus.
• Experience in door hanging, fixture installation, and other carpentry-related tasks.
• Knowledge of safety practices in a construction environment.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
