POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Bartender
Department: Food and Beverage
Reports To: Food and Beverage Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Bartender is integral to the guest experience and provides beverage services (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to the guests of the property. Ideal Candidates should have 1 year prior bartending experiance and preferably are in the immediate Naples area. The Bartender will serve beverages at the facility and provide a high-quality service-oriented environment. Bartenders must possess the ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain excellent service standards with his/her tables. They must have outstanding listening skills and an eagerness to provide memorable service. Bartenders must be flexible in meeting the varying scheduling needs of the Club and may be required to work additional hours than scheduled, if necessary.
Bartenders must be neat and well-groomed following Country Club’s Team Member standards. Our Bartenders are team players who work effectively with coworkers and other departments to support and maintain a level of excellence in food and beverage service for the members and guests. It is the Bartender's responsibility to provide a warm, friendly environment creating a memorable dining experience for our members and guest.
This position requires a highly self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and interact with members at a high level. Qualifications should include a minimum of 1 year of high-profile service operation working in food and beverage service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· To arrive well-groomed, on time and dressed in the appropriate uniform.
· Recall Bar seat numbers / Member Names
· Maintains a supply of all bar products/supplies, including all glassware, expendable paper and other supplies.
· Maintains the sanitation and cleanliness of the bar area(s), glassware and equipment.
· Review the dining reservation list along with Tee Sheet
· Set up for events, including setting up mobile bars, serve members and clean up at the event’s conclusion. Set up will also include putting out table cloths and place settings, arranging table placement, and setting up buffets.
· Prepares garnishes, mixes, and pre-mixed drinks.
· Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned.
· Adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies including confirming legal drinking age and discontinuing service to intoxicated guests.
· Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management.
· Attend pre-shift meetings for updates and specials for the day or evening.
· Possess complete knowledge of the menus and be able to answer any menu questions from members/ guests graciously and with respect.
· Gracefully present, open, and professionally serve bottles of wine.
· Know and abide by all Club policies and applicable state and local laws when serving alcohol to members and their guests.
· Communicate any issues with food service or dining issues to the Director of Food and Beverage and/ or Chef.
· Follow Club procedures for handling and storing food products in a safe and sanitary manner.
· Must treat all Members, Guests, and Team Members with respect.
· Will be required to bill member charges through the use of Jonas point of sale system.
· Bartenders must adhere to health and safety standards at all times, even when closing down at the end of the event, which will include breaking down the table set up.
REQUIREMENTS
· ServSafe Certification required
· Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
· Duties during the event can vary based on the situation, but, in general, they must be able to focus on the job while staying on their feet and moving about freely, which can include bending, climbing stairs and carrying items weighing 25-50 pounds.
· Good communication is important, as is being able to follow directions efficiently and meet the physical demands of the job.
· Ability to stand 6-8 hours at a time.
· A positive attitude while on the job is also essential.
EDUCATION
A High School diploma is preferred
EXPERIENCE
Preferred qualifications would include a minimum of 1-year food and beverage service in a club, restaurant or hotel. Have superior member service skills and the ability to maintain poise under pressure.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
