The Building Maintenance Technician position is responsible for the safety, maintenance, and repairing of all buildings owned and operated by Wilderness Resort.
This is a 2nd shift position with weekend availability.
- Must have a valid Wisconsin Driver's License (or ability to obtain one) and an acceptable driving record*
- Repairing and maintenance on all furnishings and equipment that is assigned.
- Completes room work request forms, preventative maintenance sheets, work requests by telephone and VHS radio and resort's guest request.
- Make daily inspections on the interior and exterior building components throughout the resort.
- Ensures all repairs are scheduled and they are completed in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing HVAC equipment, electrical equipment, pneumatics equipment, Ving Card lock systems, fire alarm systems, cooling and refrigeration, and all other related equipment.
- Maintains daily work request log on all rooms and common area repairs.
- Communicates effectively with co-workers, keeping up to date on code requirements and changes, receiving and maintaining certifications and other related training.
- Follows all policies outlined in the employee handbook.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
