What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Lost And Found Associate position at Wilderness Resort?
SUMMARY:
Ensures resort guests are receiving the highest quality service levels as possible and helping locating their missing items. The Lost & Found Associate also provides assistant with the mailing needs of other departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Monitor and answer phones frequently check for messages regarding lost and found.
Ensure that we do our best to locate any item that a guest might have forgotten by calling the appropriate department and calling the guest back if the item is found.
Ensure that the lost and found room is in an organized manner.
Ensure any medication turned into Lost & Found (prescription or over the counter) is logged and placed in the safe. This must be done to remain in compliance with the policy / procedure set forth by Wilderness Territory and Federal regulation.
Ensure all forms of identification, debit cards, and credit cards are disposed of properly and logged.
Monitor items that we have in our possession that have a value of $25.00 or more have a proper report done.
Operates and has knowledge of the Visual One program for looking up guest information for lost and found items and for charging shipping costs.
Inspects vacant rooms to locate lost guest items.
Assists security department with any tasks assigned such as: assists on security calls or handling security calls if the calls numbers are higher than expected or overwhelming.
Assists security dispatch with any breaks or questions as needed.
Assists shuttle drivers with lunch breaks as needed.
Transports accounting to the bank for bi-weekly deposits or change requests, as well as any other transportation needs.
Shipping of packages for all departments as needed.
All other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: (Level 3) High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: (Level 3) Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: (Level 3) Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY: (Level 3) Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Tennessee Driver’s License or ability to obtain one with 30 days of employment
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to act independently with little supervision
Skilled in problem solving and staff training
Efficiently handle multiple duties
Requires the ability to operate various office equipment to include a computer, word processing, spreadsheets, voice mail, copier, fax and calculator
Requires a good understanding of company policies and procedures
Working knowledge of resort amenities, room designs, and general golf knowledge
Ability to handle stressful situations
