What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Inspector position at Wilderness Resort?
SUMMARY:
A Maintenance Quality Assurance Inspector is part of the Maintenance Department for Wilderness at the Smokies. The job of a Maintenance Quality Assurance Inspector is to inspecting and reporting the quality of repairs and cleanliness for all Wilderness at the Smokies properties in a professional matter. Wilderness at the Smokies properties include but are not limited to River Lodge, Stone Hill Lodge, Villas, Offsite Laundry, Employee Housing and Soaky Mountain Waterpark.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Inspect guest units to ensure the quality of all repairs and cleanliness meet the standard of Wilderness At The Smokies expectations
Generate work orders from the inspections and delegate accordingly with the severity of the issues found
Inspect common areas for any repairs and generate work orders accordingly
Ensure all major repairs are reported immediately to the Maintenance Manager and/or Director
All other duties assigned by Manager
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: (Level 3) High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: (Level 3) Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: (Level 1) Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY: (Level 2) Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Tennessee Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to act independently with little supervision
Efficiently handle multiple duties
Requires the ability to operate various office equipment to include a computer, word processing, spreadsheets, voice mail, copier, fax, calculator
Requires a good understanding of company policies and procedures
Working knowledge of resort amenities, room designs, and general knowledge
Good attendance and punctual
Exhibits professionalism
Exhibits good grooming habits
Wears the proper uniform
Works efficiently
Follows all resort and office policies and standard operating procedures
Conducts themselves in a professional manner with a positive attitude
