The Take Flight Supervisor position is responsible for supervising the operations of Take Flight along with rotating to being the Controller for the ride during their shift. Responsibilities include assisting in the training of staff in all areas, assigning and directing work, appraising, addressing complaints, and resolving problems. All Supervisors must be available by radio at all times during their shift.
This is a full-time position with day, night and weekend availability.
Essential duties and tasks of the position include but are not limited:
Inspects Take Flight on a daily basis to monitor safety and repairing of any equipment. Ensures inspections forms, daily opening and closing checklists are given to Attractions Management on a daily basis. Reports any and all maintenance issues to the Attractions Management and the Take Flight Manager.
Ensures Take Flight is staffed and ready to operate per the hours of operation and staffing levels dictated for each area. Cuts labor when appropriate with approval of Attractions Management.
Supervisor will be rotating every hour with an alternate supervisor to the control tower to run the operations of Take Flight. During their shift, no cell phones will be allowed in the control tower.
Ensures general cleanliness in and around all areas of the attraction (front and back of the house).
Ensure amenity is enjoyable and educational to resort guest.
Will ensure staffing is set for peak and slow times. During peak periods, will consistently be present on the floor assisting with staff and ensuring that the amenity is enjoyable, and that staff is staying on task.
Be able to troubleshoot Ride Bays and be able to identify the problem and be able to repair and maintains a log for each Ride Bay.
Assist in promoting a positive environment and maintain employee morale and performance.
Ability to react calmly and quickly in stressful/emergency situations.
Reports any damage to Attractions Management and the Take Flight Manager.
Enforces uniform policy.
Maintains supplies.
Above all ensures the safety of staff and guests are followed at all times.
Works with Take Flight Technician to ensure all maintenance is done daily, weekly, and monthly.
All other job duties as assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise a total of 3-20 employees in the Attractions Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
