Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Yoga Instructor to join our dynamic team. This position is for a newly developed community outreach endeavor at Wilderness Trails Zoo in the Birch Run / Frankenmuth area. We are developing a program for "Goat yoga" And "Hot Sloth Yoga" in our new Rainforest Educational encounter building. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in yoga practices and a commitment to educating clients on the benefits of yoga for physical and mental well-being. The ideal candidate will have a passion for wildlife conservation and will not be afraid to be in an environment with animals. We strive to bring more awareness to the importance of balance in our environment and betterment of human self and the natural world we live in. This role involves leading engaging classes, fostering a supportive environment, and promoting overall health through various fitness disciplines all while helping promote an educational standpoint for wildlife conservation. Our organization is a 501c3 non-profit and proceeds from our outreach programs such as this go back towards our greater mission.
Responsibilities
- Conduct yoga classes for individuals and groups, catering to various skill levels from beginners to advanced practitioners.
- Educate clients on proper body mechanics, anatomy, and the principles of yoga to enhance their practice and prevent injuries.
- Design and implement personalized programs as desired
- Provide modifications and alternatives for poses to accommodate different abilities, disabilities, and fitness levels.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all participants during classes.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages client engagement and retention.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in fitness and wellness to continually enhance class offerings.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Yoga Instructor from a recognized institution is required.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, body mechanics, and personal training principles.
- Experience in teaching or leading group fitness classes is preferred, with additional skills in kickboxing or Pilates being a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire clients.
- A passion for health and wellness with a commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of fitness.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
