Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Vault Teller to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing cash transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling, and providing exceptional service to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong mathematical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to build relationships with clients while promoting our financial products and services.
Duties
- Process cash deposits, withdrawals, and exchanges accurately while adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain the vault's cash supply and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Conduct regular audits of cash drawers and vaults to ensure accuracy and compliance with security protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting members with their banking needs and answering inquiries.
- Upsell bank products and services that meet customer needs while fostering long-term relationships.
- Utilize financial software for transaction processing and record keeping.
- Order weekly from the Federal Reserve
- Maintain inventory of cashier's checks, money orders, receipts, Visa Gift cards, ATM/Debit cards and other negotiable items for use in the Teller area
Requirements
- Proven experience in cash handling or retail math is preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to perform calculations quickly and accurately.
- Familiarity with fraud prevention detection techniques is a plus.
- Excellent customer relationship management skills to enhance client satisfaction.
- Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient transaction processing.
- Ability to manage cash effectively while adhering to security measures.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
