Line Cook

We are seeking an experienced part-time line cook. Must be available weekend mornings until 330 pm. This role is perfect for anyone seeking supplemental income. Hours are based on business needs but will typically be one weekly shift and Saturday and Sunday.

Job Overview : Prepare fresh food to order with “Real food, real fresh” mindset to maximize stakeholder value. Pre-prepare (prep) our fresh ingredients to meet volume needs. Clean, sanitize, and operate in accordance to federal, state, and local laws pertaining to food safety and food handling.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas, to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, track and rotate stock using FiFo method.
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish foods in accordance with portion and quality control standards and policies as implemented by Wildflour Bistro.
• Prepare made-to-order entrees using a flat top, oven, hot plate, or other required kitchen equipment as specified by menu needs.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area by performing period shift cleaning and daily closing duties as assigned by management.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
• Note : Periodically the line cook will be working solo, except during peak hours and weekends.

Job Type : Part-time

Shifts : 4-9 hours per day, Day Shift, No late nights.

Expected Hours : 15-25 hours per week.

Benefits :

Education, Training, and Experience : At least 2 years of food service, food preparation, or banquet cooking preferred. 1 year required.

ServSafe certification preferred but not required.

Available shifts and compensation : We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $14.00 - $15.00 / hour.
