Here's a bit more about the job:

We're looking for someone energetic and motivated to help in our new and growing cafe located in downtown Lisbon.

At Wildflour Cafe, our mission is to provide quality, homemade food in an inviting environment that serves as a connection point for the community and a destination for passersby.

Joining our team is an opportunity to be a part of something exciting and fun, all while gaining valuable experience in all areas of the hospitality industry.

This is neither an application for a baker nor cook position. As a new business, we, the owners, still have our hands on everything.

However, help is needed in all areas of the operation. The ability or willingness to cook and prepare sandwiches, help with bakery output, master specialty coffees, and learn how to do things the right way is desired and will be appreciated and rewarded.

What you can expect:

- A varied work environment. Tasks range from working the register and selling pastries, making espresso drinks, basic food and baking prep, cleaning, interacting with customers, and more. No two days are the same.

- Training from an experienced chef. Our co-owner has 15 years experience in the industry and will teach you what you need to succeed in the world of restaurants.

What we expect:

- A positive attitude and a willingness to work. We're a small cafe, but there's tons to do. We only work with people who can match our mindset and are willing to focus on the task at hand. We're all about having fun, but work is the priority. For example, phone use is not tolerated.

- Reliability. We can work with you on scheduling, but we expect you to show up for shifts and be engaged.

- Initiative and a proactive approach to work.

- Clean, groomed appearance. Tatoos and piercings are okay, but you need to look presentable at all times and follow health code policies. No nails, unkept beards, smoking/vaping, etc. We are an open kitchen and work hard to make a professional impression on our customers.

3. After you submit your application, we may reach out to you by phone for a short interview. We will then schedule an in-person interview as well as a "trial day" in which you will come to the cafe and work for a few hours. You will be paid, and this will be an opportunity for both parties to see if this will be a good fit.
