Speech Teacher Position – One Day Per week – Wildflower Open Classroom
Position Overview
Wildflower Open Classroom is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders to support their academic and social success.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and parents.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and special education staff to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Conduct screenings and evaluations to identify students who may need speech therapy services.
- Educate school staff and families on speech and language development strategies.
- Stay updated on best practices and emerging research in speech therapy.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid [State] SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) (preferred).
- Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
