Summary
We are searching for an energetic Assistant Director for our movement wellness based preschool childcare. The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Center Director in ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center’s care. Under the direction of the Center Director, the Assistant Director collaborates with staff to ensure that curriculum and classroom activities are properly delivered, and that the needs of the students and the goals of the center are met appropriately. The ideal candidate enjoys working with kids, parents and staff members; and is comfortable stepping in as a teacher, when needed.
Duties
- Ensure the happiness, quality of program and safety of all the children at The Well
- Support school coverage
- Deliver on the expectations of The Well to treat our customers with the highest standard of service
- Assist the Director with licensing.
- Provides support to the classrooms and teachers to offer the best learning environment and work place
- Supports the implementation and supervision of the licensing rules
- Supports staff meetings
- Leads the daily tasks when the Director is out
- Supports the training of new staff members
- Ensure and delegate to ensure the cleanliness of the facility is impeccable
- Other tasks may include but are not limited to : maintenance requests, basic maintenance and repairs, cleanliness and organization
