JOB SUMMARY

Delivers front-line assistance to the public and employees with personnel information, job openings, applications, drug testing, and the hiring process. Provides all clerical and support service functions for the department including, copying, filing, and correspondence, taking detailed messages, maintaining office supplies, and a neat, clean, and organized reception area. 

              

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Promotes exemplary guest service standards through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
  2. Pleasantly greets and acknowledges guests entering the office. Politely screens for services and announces visitors appropriately to staff. Makes guests feel comfortable during the wait.
  3. Appropriately handles incoming phone calls-screen, transfers, provides information, or takes detailed messages.
  4. Assists applicants with the electronic application system. Reviews applications for completeness and accuracy and advises on processes.
  5. As appropriate, issues and notarizes gaming license applications and promptly notifies the Gaming Commission. For non-gaming positions, initiates employee identification badge.
  6. Schedules and conducts pre-employment drug testing and enters results appropriately. Maintains drug test supply levels and advises supervisor when reorder is needed.
  7. Handles all routine office needs: copying, faxing documents, collating materials for orientation/training, replenishing forms in distribution files, etc.
  8. Maintains the office supply inventory and prepares order forms for the director's signature.
  9. Maintains and files all personnel records and documents accurately and efficiently, including file setup and purging.
  10. Promotes confidentiality of personnel files, records, and HR actions at all times.
  11. Maintains the HR reception area and work space in a neat, organized manner at all times.
  12. Complies with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
  13. Promotes a clean, safe, healthy, and friendly work environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports concerns to supervisor.
  14. Promotes internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior at all times.
  15. Other related duties as assigned or directed.

  2. HRIS programs.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. One (1) year of clerical office experience.
  2. Demonstrates computer efficiency and skill with Word documents and spreadsheets. Database experience preferred.
  3. High School Diploma or GED Certificate or Ten (10) years of experience.
  4. Requires strong organizational and attention to detail skills. The ability to multi-task is essential.
  5. Effective communication skills - good auditory acuity with serving phone callers; provides instruction; responds to questions, and has exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to deal with the public.
  6. Courteous people skills, professional appearance, and manner required at all times.
  7. Sit for long periods at a computer station using the repetitive motion of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers; perform routine office duties including bending, lifting, maneuvering up to 25 lbs., good auditory acuity to converse directly, in a group and over the phone; good voice tone to relay information; and to walk through adverse conditions (smoke/noise in the casino) and weather between building locations.
  8. Requires a High-Security Gaming License clearance.
  9. Must be at least 18 years of age.
