JOB SUMMARY
Purchases materials, goods, and services for all departments within WRC. Research product requirements sourcing products from vendors or manufactures to obtain the highest quality of product at the most competitive pricing. Works closely with the Purchasing Manager and Warehouse Material Manager along with other departments to ensure supplies needs are met in the most efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Ensures customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service, placing the customer’s interest first. 2. Assist purchasing manager with operations and purchasing needs. Procure supplies, equipment, and services needed for resort operations, including hotel, food and beverage, gaming and administrative departments. 3. Generate purchase orders based on approved requisitions or quotes received, ensuring accuracy in quantities, specifications, and pricing. 4. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors. 5. Negotiate contract terms and pricing with vendors. 6. Purchases goods and services according to the company’s policies and procedures. 7. Reconcile invoices with payments made, ensures accurate and appropriate signatures are obtained to verify receipts of goods and services. 8. Submit and follow up on insurance claims. 9. Work with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies. Track shipments and resolve delivery discrepancies or quality concerns. 10. Review purchase requisitions from Departments to ensure accuracy and approval. 11. Work closely with relevant departments to ensure products purchased are in line with the needs of the company. 12. Review purchasing agreements with vendors, monitor their performance and track contracts for renewal dates, and update contracts when needed.
13. Promote a friendly and organized work environment for employees and vendors.
14. Operates and handles equipment, materials, and supplies safely and efficiently, according to WRC policies or training.
15. Compliance with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
16. Promotes internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
17. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

1. Prepares purchase requisitions and RFPs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Two (2) years of experience in a purchasing, procurement position.
2. Previous vendor negotiation experience.
3. Knowledge of purchasing functions and purchasing management systems/software.
4. Ability to analyze costs and develop cost-saving strategies.
5. Excellent communication, strong negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
6. High school diploma/GED or ten years’ experience.
7. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
8. Strong organizational skills, a good understanding of sourcing and the ability to maintain vendor relationships.
9. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
10. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets.
11. Possess a valid driver’s license with no history of motor vehicle-related citation or arrest conviction(s) within the last five (5) years in any state per WRC insurance requirements.
12. Excellent personal appearance and hygiene habits.
13. Need to bend, lift and maneuver at least fifty (50) pounds frequently; perform repetitive motions of arms, elbows, wrists, and fingers and able to intermittently sit, stand and maneuver about.
14. Requires a High Security Gaming License clearance.
15. Must be 21 years of age.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Associate Degree or BA. in Logistics, Purchase and Supply, Business Administration, or related fields.
