WRC Golf Groundskeeper

Wage Range: $15.00-$20.00

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
2. Shall maintain golf greens, tees, fairways, and rough with regular weeding and mowing and move holes as needed.
3. Work duties are performed outdoors so the ability to perform manual labor under adverse weather conditions is necessary - hot sun, rain, wind, etc.
4. Must be physically able to operate maintenance equipment including string trimmers, walking mowers, diggers, hand tools, and other gardening equipment.
5. Maintain and rake bunkers as needed.
6. Trim and maintain trees and shrubbery around walkways and fairways.
7. Will operate and transport equipment in a utility vehicle or golf cart.
8. Plant flowers, weed flower beds, water lawns and pick up general garbage and debris around the resort.
9. Provide routine maintenance of equipment and tools and report any safety issues or repair needs to the supervisor.
10. Promote and follow safe workplace practices and policies.
11. If required to operate a motor vehicle, shall provide a valid driver’s license, be insurable, and consent to a driving history background check.
12. Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
13. Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.
14. Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.
15. Other related duties as assigned or needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience in maintenance, general labor, or gardening required.
2. Knowledge of/and use of common hand tools and equipment.
3. Communicate effectively with customers.
4. Safely operate light utility vehicles and golf carts.
5. Bend, lift, and maneuver 50 lbs., work in inclement weather, extensive use of back, arms, hands, and legs. And has good visual-auditory acuity to respond.
6. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
7. Requires a criminal history background check.
8. Must be at least 18 years of age.
