Position Overview:

We are seeking a Construction Stormwater Inspector to perform field inspections and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This hybrid position offers a mix of fieldwork and office-based tasks, with the flexibility to work remotely when not in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct weekly and rain event SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan) inspections by walking active construction sites, observing erosion control measures in relation to the SWPPP, and collecting water quality samples.
• Document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports in the field using a smart phone app.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with stormwater regulations and best management practices (BMPs).
• Participate in training and certification programs provided by Wildland Services, LLC.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to travel to field sites.
• Ability to traverse active construction sites in all weather conditions.
• Fundamental knowledge of interpreting construction drawings and plans.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science, building construction, forestry, or a related field.

Salary Range Information: $35,000.00-$45,000.00. Based on prior experience and qualifications.

Work Hours: 40-45 hours per week. M-F.
