Position: Photo Management Intern - Summer 2025
Location: Bronx Zoo & Remote- this is a hybrid position
Department: Library & Archives
Duration: Summer 2025; 10-12 weeks, approx. 8-12 hours per week
Stipend: $320 - $575 to be paid as one lump sum upon the successful completion of the internship less applicable taxes.

The Opportunity
This is an excellent internship opportunity for someone interested in exploring the field of archives and digital asset management. The intern will gain exposure to the daily activities as well as the long-term goals of an institutional library and archives. The intern will actively assist with the management of photos, both current and historical, in the WCS Library and Archives. The intern will perform new ingesting and keywording workflows to improve access to current photos in WCS's digital asset management system and record information about historical photos according to archival standards. The intern may also digitize historical photos in order to improve their accessibility and preservation (as time permits).

Qualification Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate course of study
- Organized and detail oriented
- Interest in learning about library archives and digital asset management
- Must complete a criminal background check if accepted
